Alebrije Program
The Alebrije Psychological Services Program is intended to provide 2 psychological services to the community members of North Las Vegas. These two services are therapy and immigration mental health evaluations at no cost to the client.
Therapy Program
The therapy program consists of 12 sessions of individual therapy for adult (18 years or older) residents of North Las Vegas who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, and/ or trauma symptoms. Each client will increase their awareness of their symptoms, the impact on their daily life, and how to cope and improve their overall mental health.
Immigration Mental Health Evaluations
The immigration mental health program consists of providing a mental health evaluation for North Las Vegas residents who have an immigration petition such as a U-Visa, VAWA, waiver, or asylum case and need to show how they have been impacted by a crime or their spouse or how a citizen of the United States would be impacted if a close family member would be deported or their reason for seeking asylum. This service only consists of a clinical interview with a written report provided to the client's attorney or legal representative. This program does not include testifying in court.
About the Provider
Dr. Norma Ramirez was raised in both North Las Vegas and Las Vegas. She attended CSN and UNLV before pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in working with the Latino/x communities with an emphasis on the undocumented and immigrant communities. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma informed, and integrative of each individual's intersectional identities and characteristics.
Sobre la Proveedora
La Dra. Norma Ramírez se crió tanto en el Norte de Las Vegas como en Las Vegas. Asistió a CSN y UNLV antes de realizar su doctorado en Psicología Clínica en el Seminario Teológico Fuller en Pasadena, California. Tiene un amplio conocimiento y experiencia en el trabajo con las comunidades latinas/x con énfasis en las comunidades de inmigrantes e indocumentados. Su enfoque terapéutico es colaborativo, informado sobre el trauma e integrador de las identidades y características interseccionales de cada individuo.
El Programa de Servicios Psicológicos de Alebrije tiene como objetivo brindar 2 servicios psicológicos a los miembros de la comunidad de North Las Vegas. Estos dos servicios son terapia y evaluaciones de salud mental de inmigración sin costo para el cliente.
Programa de Terapia
El programa de terapia consta de 12 sesiones de terapia individual para adultos (18 años o más) residentes del norte de Las Vegas que puedan estar experimentando síntomas de depresión, ansiedad y/o trauma. Cada cliente aumentará su conciencia sobre sus síntomas, el impacto en su vida diaria y cómo afrontar y mejorar su salud mental en general.
Evaluaciones de Salud Mental de inmigración
El programa de salud mental para inmigrantes consiste en proporcionar una evaluación de salud mental para los residentes del norte de Las Vegas que tienen una petición de inmigración como una Visa U, VAWA, perdón o caso de asilo y necesitan demostrar cómo han sido afectados por un delito o su cónyuge o cómo un ciudadano de los Estados Unidos se vería afectado si un familiar cercano fuera deportado o su motivo para solicitar asilo. Este servicio consiste únicamente en una entrevista clínica con un reporte escrito entregado al abogado o representante legal del cliente. Este programa no incluye testificar en corte.
